Cyprus is an Island country in the eastern Mediterranean. It is the third largest Island in the Mediterranean.
Its highest point is Mount Olympus in the Troodos mountain range.
Cyprus is located within the latitude and longitude of 35° 00 N, 33º 00 E.
It covers 9,250 sq km of land.
Cyprus is the hottest as well as driest island in the Mediterranean.
There are 340 days of sunshine a year. The rainy season lasts from November to March. The spring season is mild.
The hottest months are May, June, July and August. Summer temperatures often rise above 30 degrees centigrade.
